The mount works well in my 2011 F150 console cupholder. Ipad is stable and useable, doesn't shift around. I like the flexible stalk.

The cup holder part works well enough, and the cradle part does a good job of holding the iPad (even after I managed to break the pressure tab at the top). It's the stuff in between that's the problem.

The gooseneck does stay more or less in position, but the head that bolts onto the cradle swivels all too readily. After a few months it now pretty much freewheels, and the only way I can keep my iPad from flopping sideways is to wedge it between the passenger seat and the radio.

That does have the advantage of making it very stable for poking at the screen, but otherwise I find it unsatisfying. My car's interior is doing most of the work.

The arm attaches to the lower half of the cradle, which makes it top-heavy. You'd think they would've seen this coming.

I may consider buying the RAM-B-316-1-AP8: RAM POD I Universal No-Drill Vehicle Mount for iPad, which has a locking knob to keep the cradle from rotating and generally seems better thought-out than this model. But first I have to look at the seat rail in my Toyota to see if it'll work.

This works great with our 2000 Ford Explorer and is so handy to view the screen without taking your eyes too far off the road. However, it flops and falls over with our 2004 Toyota Camry. So I guess how satisfied you will be depends upon the design of your vehicle.

BTW, I have a clear acrylic cover over the back of an iPad 2 and do not have to remove it before putting it in the holder. I love this fact.
